Salty snack: puff pastries

Incredibly quick and easy to make snack meal - spiced puff pastries. Toppings could be of choice - pick any you want to have in the fridge!

In my opinion the best spices are cumin and rosemary - small enough to chew, big enough for a slight crunch and aroma.

Ingredients:

  • bag of frozen or fresh puff pastry
  • cumin
  • sea salt
  • red onion
  • green olives

Procedure:
  1. Pre-heat your oven for 200 C.
  2. If frozen pastry, wait around 30 minutes before cutting. Important for a puff pastry to be always cooled down. Hurry up a little when preparing your bites.
  3. Sprinkle sea salt and cumin. Use a rolling pin to make them penetrate the pastry slightly.
  4. Sprinkle cut onions and olives, work the pastry with rolling pin.
  5. Cut in rectangular sticks or triangular, or any other shape you prefer.
  6. Make small cuts on the surface.
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Enjoy!
Estimated preparation time: 35 minutes
Estimated cooking time: 10 minutes

Note: If picking some veggies be careful not to put too much - it could prevent the dough from rising.
